Barry vs Morecraft Weigh-in Highlight: UFC on FX




UFC lightweight contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller came face-to-face at the offical UFC weigh-in for their main event fight at tonight’s UFC on FX 1 card. Guillard stepped on the scales at 156 pounds for the three round main event with tough Jim Miller, who weighed-in at 155 pounds. Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller were on incredible runs in the lightweight division before being derailed in their last bouts with Joe Lauzon and Benson Henderson respectively.Pat Barry tipped the scales at 242 pounds for his heavyweight bout with Christian Morecraft, who has the weight advantage at 256 pounds. Both fighters have run into difficulties in the heavyweight division recently with Barry’s record at 3-4 and Morecraft at 1-2 in the UFC. Barry has been stopped in his last two bouts, Cheick Kongo knocked him out at UFC Live: Kongo vs. Barry and Stefan Struve submitted the kickboxer at UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson. Christian Morecraft made his UFC debut at UFC 117 in 2010 against Stefan Struve, where Morecraft was knocked out in the second round, despite dominating the first round. Morecraft scored his only UFC victory over Sean McCorkle at UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis in March, but was knocked out by Matt Mitrione in his last UFC appearance at UFC Live: Kongo vs. Barry.
