In this day and age of computers, video games and ever growing technology we are busier, and yet fatter than ever! The so called “diet-pill” craze is a BILLION dollar per year industry, as everyone is looking for that quick fix, no effort solution to getting rid of unwanted weight; and right there waiting for those people are companies offering unbelievable, or unrealistic results with “their special herb, chemical, or solution”… for upwards of $150 a bottle!
Don’t waste your time, or your money any longer; I’m going to give you the ‘skinny’ on what fat loss supplements are, the different types and expected results, and what is out there now that might be right for you!
So, whether you are a new mom, a new dad, just gained a few too many over the holiday season, or a would be competitor wanting to step on stage… read on to find out what can help you achieve your greatest results for fat loss in 2007!
The majority of the population when looking for a fat loss supplement is looking for that edge, a pill that they can pop that will magically melt away all your unwanted fat without any additional action or effort from them. Folks, this just isn’t how the human body works.
Even the most effective fat loss supplements require a clean diet, caloric reduction, and some physical activity in the form of exercise; ever notice the disclaimer at the bottom of every advertisement, commercial, or label? “Results not typical” or “for best result exercise three times a week for 30 minutes and reduce your daily intake.”
These are put in place to prevent your litigation once the product fails to work as advertised; so be wary and remember you have to exercise in addition to the aid of even the products I am going to list that have been shown to have great results and many happy consumers.
A fat loss supplement should do one of several things. It should increase energy, stimulate the metabolism or thyroid, and suppress the appetite; some do several of these things all at once. Let’s explore the different types of fat loss supplements and find out what each of them do as well as what products Bodybuilding.com’s customers are loyal to.
Thermogenic fat burners are supplements using herbs and chemicals that are known to raise the body’s core temperature and thus increasing the metabolism. These are also known as stimulant fat burners.
One of the classic and well known thermogenics in the bodybuilding world is the ECA stack. ECA, standing for Ephedra, Caffeine, and Aspirin (*Ephedra is still not legal).
The ECA stack is most often taken during the cutting phase of a bodybuilding program, or during a weight loss program. It is taken prior to cardiovascular exercise.
It’s important to carefully monitor your daily caffeine intake when making Ephedra part of your supplement regimen. The known adverse side effects occur when the recommended dosage is exceeded and the amount of caffeine taken with the Ephedrine is far too much for safety.
Other Fat Burners:
There are other thermogenic fat burners on the market that provide decent results besides ephedrine. There is also Caffeine, Synephrine HCL, and Yohimbe as well as other stimulants
that work almost as well as the classic ECA. Let’s take a look at the top THREE selling stimulant fat burners here on Bodybuilding.com, what’s in each and what they are purported to do for you and your physique!
