Kim Lyons: Your Body, Your Life




Kimberly Lyn “Kim” Lyons is an American athlete, nutritionist, and fitness model who often appears on health and fitness magazines, and also stars in the American version of a competitive reality show “The Biggest Loser”. She replaced her co-trainer, Jillian Michaels on season 3, but on season 4, Jillian became her opponent. She did not appear on season 5, and never appeared again since then. Then, she appeared on Miss America Pageant 2008 as a panelist, and wrote a book called “Kim Lyons: Your Body, Your Life”.

Though at first Kim wanted to become a pilot, she decided to enter Colorado State University and took Human Development and Nutrition (she decided to change her subject because of her love and passion toward health and fitness). After her graduation in 1995, she began teaching aerobic, that brought her to compete in Galaxy Fitness Competition and in 2002, she received Pro card an IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) fitness athlete. She was also a model who posed on pageants and appeared on many magazine covers.

There were only 2 events on her life where she was not fit and active. Before she taught aerobic, she was considered too fat because she was depressed, which she could overcome by exercising. Another event was when she was preparing for the fitness competition where she hurt her Achilles muscle and required 7 months for recovery, and during the recovery, she became an expert in health and fitness.

Kim Lyons lives in Hermosa Beach, California and married to a German bodybuilder named Gunter Schlierkamp on Maret 2007. Previously she was married to Andrew Lyons, an F-16 pilot, and this was also the second marriage for Schlierkamp. On June 3rd 2010, Kim and her husband had their first child, a boy named Jake Alexander.
