TRAINING: I go from about 10am to 1pm, then do cardio, and then from 5 to 8, it’s live scrapping or drilling.

When and why did you start training for fighting? A good friend (Jayson Werth – Phillies) asked me to fight in his inaugural promotion. I agreed and the rest is history.

What ranks and titles have you held? I’m just a nobody

Do you have any heroes? Those who make the world better everyday in whichever manner they can.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a fulfillment of a quest.  I continually test myself and this is another hurdle that I decided to conquer.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?  Purdue University – Law & Society with minors in supervision and communications

What was your job before you started fighting
? I am the CEO of EDEN – Engineered & DEsigned Nutrition.  It’s a sports nutrition company.

Favorite grappling technique: ummmmm, standing up from the guard

Favorite Striking technique: The punch in the face.

•    Earned All-Big Ten honors as a defensive tackle in 2000 during his final year at Purdue

•    Fight against Beltran was UFC 119’s Fight of the Night

•    Earned his way into the NFL as a free agent and played six seasons as a member of the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings.
