TRAINING: A typical day is training with my team at 11am or 12pm and then another session later on at 6pm. Monday is wrestling and power lifting. Tuesday & Thursday is sparring, mitt work, and technique. Wednesday is conditioning. Friday is BJJ and conditioning. Saturday is Thai boxing. Sunday I take off.

When and why did you start training for fighting?
I started fighting after I got bored of just grappling. I started fighting late 2007

What ranks and titles have you held? No rank. Held local AFO title

Do you have any heroes?
No

What is your favorite technique? Flying heelhook

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is an honor. I have followed the UFC since I was a little kid and it has always been a goal of mine to one day compete in the UFC with the best of the best. This is a goal that I thought would never be possible until recently when the UFC took on the bantamweight division. My new goal is to make it into the top 10 rankings of the bantamweight division.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I have a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.

What was your job before you started fighting? Fixing computers.
