TRAINING: I train 6 days a week when training for a fight. Most days, I spend my mornings working on strength and conditioning with Martin Rooney.  In the afternoon or evening, I head over to AMA, where my workouts vary between Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, as well as MMA practices, where we combine all aspects of the sport.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started fighting five years ago.  I began training because I missed the competition.

What ranks and titles have you held? Cage Fury Middleweight Champion; IFL Middleweight Champion

Do you have any heroes? No

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This has been a dream of mine since I began fighting. The UFC has the best fighters in the world, and if you want to be ranked as a great fighter, you have to be fighting in the UFC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No

•    Received his BJJ black belt in January 2010 from Renzo Gracie black belt Jamie Cruz.

•    Brother Jim made UFC debut at UFC 89 in October of 2008 against David Baron.

•    Submitted Ryan McGivern in one round to win IFL middleweight title
