Jay Cutler

Jay Cutler was born in Sterling, Mass. in 1973. At the age of 11, he worked his very first job at his family’s construction business. The physical labor set the stage for what he would become later in life: a professional bodybuilder.

He graduated college in 1993 with a criminal justice degree. He wanted to work as a maximum security prison guard, but life instead took him to the Iron Bodies Invitational, where he took his first overall, 1st place win. It wasn’t his first bodybuilding contest, but it was his first, 1st place win. In 2004, Cutler ranked 2nd after Ronnie Coleman in the Mr. Olympia contest.

Here are some of his most noteworthy titles:

  • NPC US Tournament of Champions (1995), overall winner and 1st place Men’s Middleweight
  • IFBB Night of Champions (2000) 1st place
  • Arnold Classic (2002, 2003 & 2004), 1st place each year
  • Ironman Pro Invitational (2003) 1st place
  • 1st place at several Grand Prix, including the British (2003) and Austrian (2006)
  • Mr. Olympia (2006, 2007, 2009 & 2010) 1st place each year

Jay Cutler lost the Mr. Olympia title in 2008 and regained in 2009. Having done that makes him the only competitor in the history of the sport to regain the title after losing it. He is now preparing to defend his title at this year’s Mr. Olympia contest.

He has one of the most famous physiques in the world:

  • Height: 5’10” (178 cm)
  • Competition weight: 260 pounds
  • Off-season weight: 290 pounds
  • 22” arms
  • 58” chest
  • 30” thighs
  • 34” waist
  • 20” calves
  • 19.5” neck
  • DOB: August 3, 1973

Jay Cutler has made a number of DVDs, including New Improved and Beyond in 2003, From Jay to Z in 2006, and Undisputed in 2010. He currently resides in Las Vegas, NV, and offers training videos and nutrition tips on his official website.
