Which Pro do you think has the best routine?

Which Pro do you think has the best routine?

I think that ol' school Ronnie had the best routine. It didnt seem like an addiction like some of the guys today have, but it seems like guys like Cutler and Phil Heath have it perfected so its sort of built in to their life, rather then life around workouts.

Anyways what do you think the best workout routine would be for a guy like me:

28 year old
270lbs
6' 4"
Workout 3-4 x per week
Usually work on legs, back and chest for about a hour each.

Anything specific i should look out for?

I would say it all depends on what you are trying to achieve!!!

A good way to split your workouts are:

day 1 - Back and Biceps
day 2 - Chest and Triceps
day 3 - Legs
day 4 - Shoulders and Abs
day 5 - Cardio
day 6 - Rest
day 7 - Rest

If you are at the gym more then an hour a day doing this routine you are taking too
much rest between sets.

Let me know how it works for you!!! I use it and I've noticed this is the best way to burn fat and gain size.

Im trying to achieve the physique as close as possible to enter a competition.

I will expand your workout routine suggested and post it back on here and will give it a try for the rest of this month and next.

Will post pics as well soon.

Thanks Carlos!

All the pros obviously know exactly what stimulates their bodies best, and so their programmes are tailor made to suit them.

That being said, Ronnie Coleman's videos are definitely particularly fun to watch! I love the way he still trains in a basic, hardcore gym. There are no modern machines, no mirrors everywhere, just a lot of chalk and a lot of heavy weights! It definitely seems to work for him.

As for yourself, what exactly is your level of training? Are you just starting out? You should post your diet and current, complete routine and we can help you out.

You should only use a pro routine if you are using steroids or other illegal substances. The average drug-free bodybuilder will quickly overtrain on a pro routine. Their volume is ridiculously high and they use lots of isolation exercises for a puffy physique.

Thanks for sharing these pro routines. They sound difficult and I'm sure they are since they are for professionals.

None. A routine is specific to the pro. What works for one will not work for another.

Agreed, him and Kai are one of the only modern pro bodybuilders still training heavy. Light weight!
