New Guy Here

Postby DusanCeko » Thu Apr 12, 2012 5:53 pm

Hi Everyone

I am from Toronto, Canada and I just recently decided that i need to gain more weight. My biggest problem is weight gain and retention.

I have tried it all, eating over 5,000 to 6,000 calories per day, i would gain 5-10 pounds in a month or two, and if i skip a meal one day it would drop me down by 2-3 pounds and de-motivate me.

Just got some supplements to see if it will help me gain weight and get back on track.

Welcome to the forum. I was surprised reading your post and finding out that you wanted to gain weight. It sounds like your problem is that you have a high metabolism. My husband seems to have the same problem. It doesn't matter how much he eats or how lazy he is, he just will not gain weight. All I can recommend is that muscle weighs more than fat.
Just keep smiling...

Thanks for the info. Im glad im not the only one.

Dont I need to gain some fat to turn it into muscle?

Im skinny, where is the muscle going to come from if not from fat?

Fat doesn't turn into muscle, they are two different molecules. If you are not gaining weight you are not eating enough. You said you would gain 5-10 lbs a month, that good, its actually too much. The body cant put on more than 2lbs of dry muscle a month.

You have to stay consistent, don't miss meals, stay on top of your macros, train hard and sleep.

Welcome to the forums bty.
