When choosing a weight gainer one should keep some things in mind. You want to find a weight gainer that contains a Whey Protein blend that is made up primarily of Whey Protein Isolate. Almond and Pea proteins provide a high-quality source of slow-released complete proteins, which will deliver your muscles a constant supply of amino acids for a sustained increase in protein synthesis or muscle growth. Using both Almond and Pea proteins you will deliver a full spectrum of all essential amino acids. Some weight gainers use fast-absorbing whey as a protein source, this can cause a spike in insulin and can result in fat gains as oppose to muscle gains.
