Supplements for weight gain

So you’re a thin person who wants to bulk up? Or you’re a weight lifter or fighter who wants to go up a weight class? There are many reasons for wanting to gain weight. Unfortunately, it sometimes feels like it may be easier to lose weight than to gain, especially when you are at that dreaded ‘plateau’, where your body refuses to grow, no matter how much you train. Weight gain is dependent on your training, but also on your nutrition.

Remember, you want to gain weight but not fat, so it is important to eat right and put on muscle. For this, you need to get a healthy, balanced diet, which is much more than what a person who is not weight training needs. If you cannot achieve this, you may consider taking supplements.

There are an unlimited number of supplements available in the market, and you may find yourself asking, “What is the best weight gain supplement for me?” There is no absolute answer to that question, because your needs decide what you should use. Ultimately, the best weight gain supplement for you is one that works well for you, so experiment a little, and keep a track of the changes in your body.

Here are some of the different supplements for weight gain that you can use:

• Proteins are the most important nutritional substance for muscles to grow.

The more you work out, the more protein you would need to consume. After a workout, your need to restore the protein that has been consumed by your body. Using a supplement that has protein in it will help your muscles to recover faster and grow, meaning you can train harder and get stronger.

Supplements are made from different sources of protein, like whey, casein, soy, or egg. Whey is the fastest digesting protein, while casein is digested slowly. So depending on your workout, you can choose from these. Alternately, you could just get a blend. Weight gainer protein supplements are very high in calories and will therefore help you gain weight.

• Creatine works by increasing the levels of ATP, the building blocks of energy, in the body. This allows you to work out harder and for longer as well as recover quicker. Creatine has been shown to increase muscle mass. There are different types of creatine available, but they should all be used after a workout.

• Glutamine is an amino acid that helps recovery and prevents muscles from being wasted. This allows you to get back into the gym faster. This is a supplement that can be taken on a long-term basis, but remember not to use it at the same time as creatine. Instead, use it before your workout, and use creatine after.

• Dietary vitamins are important for those who work out hard. Not only do they keep the body healthy and immune to illnesses and injury, they are essential for many body functions and aid the absorption of energy from other foods. Supplements include vitamins like vitamins A, B, B12, C, and D.

• Natural testosterone boosters are natural weight gain supplements that help you to gain muscle by raising the amount of testosterone in the body. Unlike anabolic steroids, they are legal for use, but before you use them, be sure you consult a doctor, as they may have side effects.

• Amino acid aids in the repair, regrowth and recovery of muscles. Taken before a workout, they help to increase your stamina and energy levels. They are probably the most beneficial supplements for you. Branched chain amino acids are the most effective amongst all amino acids and can help you put on weight.

• Nitrous oxide is a gas that helps nerves to communicate with each other. It raises the blood flow levels in the body, meaning that the cells get more blood and nutrition with every heart beat, thus making the muscles larger.
