Strength of muscular

What is Muscular Strength?

It is the maximum amount of weight your muscle(s) can lift in a single movement.

Why it’s important?

Muscles are tissues made up of cells. These cells, when under tension, will contract, expand, or remain the same.

A muscles purpose is to produce force and movement. This is important for performing daily activities and overall health. The stronger the muscles are the greater the range of physical activities you can perform.

Muscles also play an important role in providing bone and joint support as they work together to stabilize your bones. Proper stabilization of the bones will also result in improved posture and gait.

If you don’t have sufficient strength in your muscles you become more susceptible to injury. This is usually because other muscles are forced to pick up the slack and they become overstretched or overexerted.

Increasing your Strength

Generally speaking, this is best accomplished through a program of resistance training using free weights, bodyweight exercises, a resistance band, or some other form of resistance. To build bulky muscles it’s best to train with heavy resistance and low repetitions. For a toned and leaner look use lighter resistance and more repetitions (this will also increase your muscular endurance).

Eating Tips From Freaky Physiques

What is your philosophy on nutrition? Again it varies from person to person. In general I prefer moderation in all things. Protein is about 1-1.15g/lb bodyweight, fat is about 20-30% of total kcals, and the rest of the calories that I need are filled in by carbohydrates. In the off-season this ends up around 250g [...]
