Healing supplements and mens nutritional issues
While some ailments and health care issues are common to both men and women, some illnesses and health conditions seen in men may need definite treatment with regards to medical diagnosis and therapy. Some important issues linked to men’s health are connected with malignant disease, polygenic disorders, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and prostate health.
Cancer
Diet plays a very important role in warding off cancer. Medical scientists and epidemiologists are of the opinion that a plant-based diet, especially one that is particularly rich in fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and whole grains is crucial for good health. Men must consume at least six to eight portions of fresh fruits and fresh vegetables every day and have carbohydrates that are high in fiber, such as whole grain bread, wheat bran, brown rice, oats and quinua.
Diabetes
A healthy diet for men with diabetes include: consuming at least three wholesome meals every day, including healthy snacks, concentrating on natural foods rich in fiber, blending in protein and carbohydrates, adding only minimal quantities of healthy fat, while avoiding sugar-sweet-flavored drinks to cut down general intake of calories.
Cardiovascular disease
According to prominent medical institutes, men are around 2 times as likely as women to develop cardiopathy. In a majority of the cases, heart diseases may be forestalled by following a healthy diet.
The comfort and worldwide attraction towards convenience or junk foods such as frankfurters or burgers can lead to a poor diet. To prevent heart disease it is important that men abstain from smoking and control excessive weight. With regards to their diet, nutritionists advocate that men incorporate more lean and wholesome protein foods in their meals, like lean chicken or turkey, and white meat over red meats.
Furthermore, having fatty fish such as salmon or common mackerel) two times in a week may provide a heart-protective effect. As a healthy cooking substitute to deep frying, try baking or broiling fish.
High blood pressure
Being overweight is often linked to high blood pressure. Losing excessive weight is useful in controlling hypertension, and in some cases, depending upon their doctor’s discretion, men may be able to reduce or cease their diabetic medication.
One trusted method to help prevent excessive weight and manage hypertension is to avoid large servings of fatty meat and simple starches such as potatoes and inch towards smaller servings of lean meat with larger quantities of vegetables than meat. Eating processed foods rich in salt can result in the body retaining excess water, causing hypertension. Avoiding processed foods is a must in order to control hypertension.
Prostate Health
Diet plays an important role in prostate health.
Apart from consuming a healthy diet centered on overall restraint, medical investigators have revealed health benefits from a type of carotenoid known as lycopene, which is a phytochemical (a natural chemical occurring in plants) that gives tomatoes a red color. Fresh produce containing lycopene such as tomatoes, watermelons, grapefruit, and red bell peppers can lower the risk of prostate cancer.
