How it Works

Rather than giving you a pre-designed meal plan you may eventually get bored of, the Diet Doc’s Guide offers throughout (but easy to understand) explanations of how carbs, fats and proteins work and are metabolized in your body, so you can make your own choices as to what to eat and in what amounts depending on your lifestyle and goals. Nothing is forbidden, and dieters are actually encouraged to try eating out and adding carbs to their diets to find a good balance between weight loss and personal satisfaction.

The Good

The program has been around for over a decade and has proven, documented successful testimonials from athletes, professionals and “everyday folk.” Scientific research is widely quoted. The diet is simple to follow and there is no counting involved. Exercise is encouraged.

The Bad

There’s no much new in the book that hasn’t been said over and over again. The customized programs are very expensive, forcing most people to rely only on the book, which doesn’t offer many details regarding a specific workout or exercise plan.
