Background
Trainer Jillian Michaels from the hit TV show, The Biggest Loser, has put together a collection of workouts that cover circuit training. Meant to help anyone lose weight quickly, her program focuses on the dieter keeping always on the move by working out several muscle groups in quick succession. This is the method used when training contestants on the TV show and is meant to accelerate fat burning while decreasing workout times.
What to Eat
A few recipes and nutritional tips are included but the focus of the program in on exercise.
The Good
The collection includes a set of videos showing Jillian Michaels, who performs the exercises herself while providing support and motivation as you try to work out. Much importance is placed on learning the different workout routines and the proper form that goes with them. All the routines require very little equipment to complete and no gym membership.
The Bad
The diet is focused on exercise but not dieting, which means the dieter needs to use a second plan to learn the proper nutrition for weight loss.
Exercise
Each DVD covers all aspects of circuit training and only requires a few home props to work out. Routines are intense and may not be suitable for those who have a medical condition.
Costs
The DVD's can be purchased for $49.91. You will also need a few props like dumbbells and a bench.
