Fat Loss 4 Idiots
The Fat Loss 4 Idiots program is rated 3/5
This diet uses a common sense approach of eating simple-to-prepare food and smaller portions to lose weight. No magical pills here and no surprises when it comes to food combinations or restrictions. The diet has been called by various names over its convoluted history, including the Idiot-Proof Diet, with the current name fixed at Fat Loss 4 Idiots. You’re basically encouraged to stay away from carbohydrates and focus on proteins and healthy fats. There are some strange combination options, such as allowing you to choose the foods you want to eat for 11 days and then eating as much as you want of those in a specific order. Few starchy carbohydrates, lots of lean protein. There are basically no recipes to follow; instead, you are given a series of foods you are supposed to eat alone, without any add-ons, such as chicken for lunch and milk for a snack. After the 11-day program is completed, you are allowed to cheat for three days and then you are expected to go back into the program. You’re pushed to eat several times a day, which is good to increase metabolism and help you establish a good eating routine. Meals plans are well-defined and detailed. No scientific backing. Lots of people report actually gaining weight for the first week on the diet because of the foods they chose (the guidelines for choosing specific foods are rather confusing). Short on vegetables. Lots of sodium and pre-packaged foods. There is no support and no personalization, a big mistake since everybody’s body is different and loses weight at a different pace. Recommends 30 minutes of exercise twice a day but gives no guidelines as to what type is appropriate or how to determine your fitness level. Throughout the book, it is mentioned a couple of times that exercise is not actually needed to lose weight, so the suggestion is more for health reasons than to help you lose any weight. $20 for access to their 11-day meal plan generator through their website. Or you can buy the e-book for $19. Full online access costs $39 for three months. No celebrity endorsements and no testimonials available.Fat Loss 4 Idiots Review:
