Extra Lean – Mario Lopez Diet Book
Extra Lean vs. Knockout Fitness (Mario Lopezs previous book) – which book is better? Both books are great and complement each other nicely. Extra Lean is a diet book, but if you think this is yet another inconsequential, tedious book that only rehashes well-known dieting dogmas and does not bring anything new to the table, think again. Extra Lean is not one of those books.
Of course, what you really want to know is probably this: Can Extra Lean make you, well, extra lean or at least lean enough to fit into your secret stash of skinny clothes? If Extra Lean is such a great book it should be able to help anyone lose weight in one month, right? Sure, I think Extra Lean can definitely help people lose weight, but I do have some beef with one claim it makes. On the cover it says, Lose up to 14 pounds in the first 14 days.
Really? 14 pounds in 14 days? So, does it also mean that Extra Lean can make you lose weight in 7 days, that is, 7 pounds in 7 days? To accomplish the 14 pounds in 14 days thingy, you would need to lose 1 pound every day for 14 days nonstop, which is a very aggressive weight-loss goal for most people. Studies show that an average person is only capable of losing about 2 pounds a week.
Having said that, maybe some people can lose 14 pounds in 14 days, I am not saying it is an impossible thing to do, I just do not think it should be on the cover of this book. Why not? Because I usually associate such claims with fad diets, but Extra Lean is a credible book. Okay, enough criticism, lets see why Extra Lean can help you lose weight how it can help you get in shape.
First of all, it is a very easy and enjoyable read. Second, the book contains everything you need to start losing weight without depriving yourself. Unlike other diet books, Extra Lean does not tell you to exclude entire food groups from your diet. Instead, it explains how to strike the right balance between protein, fat and carbohydrates, and how to implement sensible portion control without obsessing over each calorie you eat.
I think the book contains enough information to put together your own diet plan (there are more than 40 recipes to choose from), but if you do not want to do that, you can easily follow a seven-week diet plan described in the book.

The Basics Protein First off, when it comes to supplements, there are certain cornerstone products everybody should be using.
