Background

Easy Diet Labels are brightly colored stickers that dieters are supposed to put on their food to allow them to make better food choices. The good foods get labeled with green and blue stickers; whereas, the bad foods get labeled with red and yellow labels. The philosophy of these labels is based on that of behavior modification. Here are some examples of what some of the stickers say: the green stickers state, “Great Choice,” the blue stickers say ‘Low Sugar” the red stickers say “Contain Fats” and the Yellow Stickers say say “Eat in Moderation.” The package of Easy Diet Stickers comes with 120 labels that can be put on any foods. Easy Diet Labels come in 4 different types of stickers, each one geared for a different type of diet- Low Carb, Heart Health, Calorie Counting and Families Building Healthy Eating Habits.

How it Works

It is incredibly easy to put the stickers on everything from boxes and cans in the cabinets, to fresh foods in the fridge, to frozen foods in the freezer. The way that this process works really couldn’t be any easier. The stickers can be peeled off and then just stuck on various items.

The Good

Although many healthy food choices are obvious, it is often easy for people (particularly children) to always remember what is good and bad to eat. The simplicity of the Easy Diet Labels just might work for many dieters. A major plus of this diet is the price ($3.99 per package) which is extremely inexpensive. In fact, these stickers are so inexpensive, it is probably worth giving this a shot if other diet gadgets have not worked for you and you are looking for something different. These labels may also encourage people to spend more time reading labels before assuming a food is good or bad.

The Bad

In consideration of these labels, you have to wonder if it isn’t just better for shoppers to avoid buying the red and yellow foods in the first place. However, for people who are trying to make healthier choices, while still “cheating” every now and then, the stickers should work. Yet, there may be some danger of shoppers to buy some unhealthy foods just so they can have some items to place the red and yellow stickers on.
