The Don't Go Broke Weight Loss Plan is from medical doctor Kalvin Chinyere. So, right off the bat, this diet program has something that many diet programs are lacking, namely a medical professional designing the plan. This obviously is a massive plus. Further, Dr. Chinyere knows what it is like to have a weight problem, as he fought weight gain for twenty-five years. At one point, Chinyere weighed over 330 pounds. However, he developed a weight loss plan that allowed him to lose 140 pounds and keep the weight off. Much of his plan centers around the notion that losing weight costs way too much money, and that there should be a cheaper way to learn to modify one's behavior, lose weight and keep the weight off.

The books proceed to move on to the topic of what foods to eat. From there, an entire book is dedicated to working out, with the fourth and fifth books focusing on how to shop for food and save money. In the final e-book, Dr. Chinyere provides over 100 healthy and inexpensive recipes, with many meals averaging about $1.50.
