Chemical Breakdown Diet Review:

Background

It is known that foods can be combined to help people get over some diseases. As obesity is a disease, one should be able to eat certain foods and deal with the problem as well. This diet takes advantage of that to help the dieter lose weight.

How It Works

The concept here is that by eating certain foods in combination, fat will break down in the body. The dieter has to eat certain foods as part of a three-day cleansing diet, that is, in low-calorie amounts and with as much water and diet soda as the dieter can drink. By repeating this as part of a seven-day cycle (three low-calorie days followed by four days of healthy eating), the dieter will lose weight.

The Good

Weight will be lost. Temporarily.

The Bad

This diet is pretty much hype. The weight loss comes not from some chemical process, but the lack of caloric intake from the diet. This is a fad diet, and there are no healthy habits taught that will lead to continued weight loss or even maintaining the weight loss. The initial weight lost will be gained back as soon as the dieter stops using this diet. All the weight lost is likely to be muscle mass, rather than fat.
