Brigitte Diet Review:

Background
The Brigitte Diet certainly sounds cute but can it deliver the weight loss results? The Brigitte Diet comes to us from a popular women's magazine in Germany. Like many diets, the Brigitte Diet focuses on having dieters eat few calories with fruits and vegetables playing a large role. In this way, the diet seems to be focusing on what common wisdom dictates.
What to Eat
Since the Brigitte Diet places its emphasis on eating a small amount of calories (as low as one-thousand calories per day), one can expect to lose weight. Obviously, fruits, vegetables and reduced calories has been shown to be healthy for dieters. Dieters will eat fish 2-3 times a week and meat once a week.
The Good
Don't eat a lot, focus on fruits and vegetables and eat small meals is the mantra of the Brigitte Diet. Protein is designed to be lean. Exercise is stressed as being important. There is a lot to like in the Brigitte Diet.
The Bad
The low level of calories, as little as one thousand, may simply be seen as too harsh by many dieters. However, dieters could simply opt to ignore this aspect of the diet and work toward it in a slower fashion. Overall, the Brigitte Diet's approach toward food and its emphasis on whole foods is a good one.
Exercise
Exercise is seen as a valued part of the Brigitte Diet
Cost
The major cost of the Brigitte Diet is all the fresh fruits and vegetables that one might have to buy. Expect that the Brigitte Diet will eat up some time as well. Dieters will spend more time preparing food and shopping for food. Yet, this is a small price to pay for good health.
