Bob Harper Diet

The Bob Harper Diet program is rated 4/5

Bob Harper Diet Review:

Background

Famous thanks to his participation in The Biggest Loser, Bob Harper is without doubt one of the top trainers in the country today. Focusing on the emotional aspect of eating, his book (and thus his diet plan) “Are You Ready! To Take Charge, Lose Weight, Get in Shape and Change Your Life” offer sensible approach that can be follow by anybody, not matter what your taste in food or your goals are.

What to Eat

Lots of small meals during the day (up to six, depending on your current weight and level of physical activity). Stress is put on eating before you are hungry so you never give in to cravings for the “wrong” (high-sugar, high-fat) foods. The general diet is low carb and relatively low in calories.

The Good

The plan works, and you can see proof of that by watching The Biggest Loser. No complicated formulas or meal plans. While the diet is low carb, some whole grains, fruits and vegetables are still allowed.

The Bad

Plans are static, which means you cannot account for food preferences or allergies in the menu. Level of physical activity required may be too much for beginners.

Exercise

Physical activity is a big part of this program. You get a series of sample workouts in the book, or you can buy a DVD training program, which sells exclusively through Push.TV

Costs

The training program, sold through Push.tv, costs $25 a month and you are required to buy a subscription. If you choose to workout on your own, you can simply buy the book for about $20 or join his site for $20 per month.

Who Has Tried It

Ben Stiller, Gwyneth Paltrow, every contestant of the blue team in The Biggest Loser .
