Background
Bitelog is a free website that is also a food diary. The general idea is to help dieters to lose weight by assisting them to easily track their caloric intake. There are two diary styles available. One is a daily diary, where foods are tracked by the day. The other is a dcroll diary, where you can see all the days together. The features on the site include a calorie diary, and vitamin diary.
What to Eat
You can eat whatever you want using the Bitelog food diary. Bitelog will tell you how many calories you have consumed.
The Good
You can see all of the specifics of certain foods broken down by calories, protein, fiber, as well as vitamins and minerals. Bitelog also tells you exactly how many calories and how much nutrition you will be getting through various servings. For example, a carrot is broken down into a cup chopped, a cup grated, strips, slices, larger strips, etc. Also on the plus side, this website is completely free to use.
The Bad
While this website has a lot of information on it, navigation is confusing and it is very difficult to understand how to use the site. Also the website is pretty hard to look at, as it has harsh graphics and blinding colors. Bitelog lets you keep a journal, but due to the unclear instructions, its hard to know how to compile this information and use it for your benefit. Also doctors or dieticians did not write the site. The bottom line is that many dieters will feel confused by Bitelog. However, just looking at the harsh visuals on this site could cause nausea and cause dieters to want to skip eating!
Exercise
Bitelog provides little assistance with physical activities.
Cost
One point in the favor of BiteLog is that it is free to use.
