Biggest Loser Club Review:

Background
The diet that has helped many contestants in the NBC's hit reality show The Biggest Loser is now available online. The principle behind the diet is simple: eat less, burn more and you will lose weight. There are basically two ways of following the diet: by buying the book (and doing the counting and meal planning on your own) or by joining the website (which provides all types of tools that do the calorie and fat/protein/carb counting for you).
What to Eat
Basically, you will be following a low calorie plan that considerably cuts down the amount of sugars and fats you are allowed. Fruits and vegetables are allowed in moderation, as are dairy products and red meat. The “4-3-2-1 Biggest Loser Pyramid” refers to the number of servings you are allowed of (in order) produce, proteins, grains and extra foods (such as vegetable fats or sugar-free snacks) in a single day. There are three different calorie levels as well, from a strict 1,200 to a more comfortable 1,800.
The Good
If you join the website, you won't have to worry about calorie counting or calculations, as the tools provided do all the work for you in just a few steps. The diet itself is not complicated and you can easily continue it for a long time. Weight loss is steady. Vegetarian options are provided.
The Bad
Since you'll be counting calories, it can be time-consuming both to keep track of your meals and to put together the recipes. Amount of exercise required can be hard on beginners.
Exercise
This program is all about exercise. Animated fitness demos are provided online, as well as customized workout routines to fit any style and level. 200-300 minutes per week of aerobic training plus strength workouts are essential to the program and are well-detailed online.
Costs
$5.00 per week to join the website or you can use the “4-3-2-1 Biggest Loser Pyramid” program explained in the book.
