Atkins Advantage
The Atkins Advantage program is rated 4/5
Atkins Advantage Review:

Background
The All New Atkins Advantage has given the classic low-carb diet an all-around makeover. Not only is the new version of the program a more detailed, established plan (you are now presented with a 12-week program, rather than an ongoing system), but it also addresses other issues, such as conquering fears, achieving your goals and working towards happiness. The book was written by Stuart L. Trager and Colette Heimowitz, both experts in the fields of health and nutrition.
What to Eat
Rather than being left to your own devices when it comes to planning your diet, the Atkins Advantage provides you with detailed menus for the 12 weeks of the program. This includes recipes, food lists and modifications. While you are still following the same low-carb, high-protein diet detailed in the original book, the carb limits are slightly more flexible, allowing you to increase the grams until you find the correct number that makes you comfortable but still allows you to lose weight.
The Good
Atkins Advantage addresses emotional eating, exercise and lifestyle changes, which were missing from the original plan. The book provides lots of emotional support, helping you focus on the emotional aspects of dieting and changing your lifestyle.
The Bad
Exercise is only addressed beginning on the fourth week of the program. The plan is not suitable for vegetarians. Despite all the positive changes, this is still a high-protein diet that promotes unlimited consumption of red meats and other proteins that may lead to high cholesterol and heart disease.
Exercise
While the original Atkins program barely mentioned exercise, the Atkins Advantage program gives it a well-deserved central spot. The book features tons of photos of exercises and provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform moves and positions.
Costs
The book sells for under $20.
