Mayweather v Cotto

Mayweather v Cotto

Does Cotto have a chance against Mayweather? I was very impressed with Cotto against Margarito but Mayweather has a completely different style - Cotto will not be able to outbox Mayweather as he did against Margarito. I think Mayweather has lost a smidgen of speed but he will be far too good for Cotto.

What is your prediction for the fight on May 5th?

Cotto has a chance but he should fight on the inside. He got no chance if he box against Mayweather because the guy is so slick. What I hate to say is why Mayweather wins for fights that he doesn't even look like fighting. He is so over-rated.

I think this fight has the makings to be a very entertaining bout. I would favor Mayweather just because I think he has the speed advantage against Cotto, but I think Cotto has the power advantage. I would say that this fight goes to a decision in favor of Mayweather.

As always, the fight is going to be a decision. Mayweather is a boring fighter and you don't need to predict what's the outcome of the fight. He don't want to entertain people, he is a coward.

His fighting style isn't very entertaining but he has been slightly more aggressive in his most recent fights. Mayweather doesn't care about entertaining the fans, he is only concerned about winning the fight and staying undefeated.

I agree, it will be an entertaining fight. I don't think Cotto has enough power to knock out Mayweather. Most of Cotto's stoppages were by Technical Knock Out, he isn't a one punch knock out artist.

You're right, he's main concern is to win but at least he should try to win it impressively. Boxing is a fight and not a dance. He is nothing but a joke to me.

Boxing is known as the sweet science. Hit and don't be hit. Mayweather does that well, he is a defensive master. I'm not a Mayweather fan boy by any means but I respect his skill and I admire his self-belief.

I think it will be a great fight and although I respect both boxers I will be supporting Mayweather, he is a brilliant boxer and I love to watch him fight.

He is certainly a brilliant boxer, one of the best in his generation, if not THE best. Cotto is overrated in my opinion. His fighting style is quite one dimensional and he lacks the power to stop Mayweather. Do you think Cotto can win?
