How hard is it to bulk up naturally?

I've been lifting for 3 years now(naturally) and I've put on around 60lbs. I just wondered how long it's took some of you guys to get bigger.

That sounds like really good progress to me. Are you just bulking or do you also do a cut before summer? That will help you decipher just how much is muscle.

Everyone is different.

If you maintain the proper diet with proper levels of protein, you can bulk up in a respectable amount of time.

It also depends upon what you term as bulking up. Everyone has a different viewpoint of what bulking up equals in terms of weight and look.

I would say 1-2 years is a good time period to see results.

I'm cutting at the minute, it's my first one. I went from 140lbs to 200lbs but I'm 6 2 so 200lb isn't that much really plus I'm around 15% body fat.

I won't say that 200 lbs. isn't much, especially since you went from 140. I won't dismiss your gains. But, yeah, I think 220 minimum should be your goal. Good luck on the cut.

I'm finishing my cut in a few weeks time, I'm sitting around 185lb now. I'll aim for 220+ when I'm bulking again thanks.

I'm only in high school, so it's tough for me to say whether or not bulking is hard. However, in my first year of lifting, I gained about 15-20 pounds in muscle. Weight gained about 10 pounds, so some fat loss there. The next year, I went on another bulk (I'm super skinny) and gained no weight, but tons of muscle.

Good job. I think you'll really like how you look at 220. You should end up rather well proportioned.
