Weight gain from hormones
Some of the main symptoms or signs of hormonal imbalance in a person includes weight gain. However most people are not aware how closely related both the factors of weight gain and a hormonal imbalance are. Hence when trying to reduce weight one of the main requirements is to stabilize one’s raging hormones.
There are various ways by which one can tackle this problem of changing hormones and thus help in reducing massive weight gain. One of the main ways to reduce weight is to get plenty of exercise. When there is a hormonal imbalance it can could lead to a drastic change in one’s metabolic rate.
Thus exercise helps in combating the slowdown that one experiences with their metabolism. Thus one needs to get a certain amount of exercise on a daily basis to deal with this problem. One can try jogging, swimming, cycling or even aerobics as some of the possible options to consider. It is important to some how in crease the number of calories one is burning. For women when they begin to gain weight, it is usually found to affect their stomach area. Hence it is essential for them to try and tone down their stomach and work on their muscles located here. Exercise by itself is not sufficient in getting rid of stomach fat, but it does help in increasing the muscles that are located in this area. One can start off by doing about 30 minutes of exercise.
They can even try simple walking. Gradually one should then start increasing the exercise time form 30 minutes to an hour. It is essential to exercise at least 4 to 5 time in a week. This exercising will also help in dealing with the slow metabolism that is hormone induced. For men, another option is to try lifting weights. This can help for men with diminished testosterone. Diet is another vital area that needs to be covered. When gaining weight a simple mechanism to follow is to watch the amount of fat in one’s diet. Eating foods that contain omega 3 is very beneficial. Omega 3 is found to contain certain prostaglandins. These are hormones that affect a person’s metabolism. Foods like mackerel, tuna, sardines, and certain nuts area rich source of these fatty acids. Eating foods like soy and flax seeds are also essential as they contain phytoestrogens which are essential in correcting any hormonal imbalances.
