Wave of body

A body wave is just curls which are larger and looser than the usual perm. Even though the same kind of chemical treatment is used the difference between a standard perm and a wave is that a larger appliance is used to give bigger looking curls. In appearance a body wave looks like large S shaped tresses of hair.

A number of such S shaped locks would give your hair a soft ethereal look. Some people are lucky enough to have volume and naturally wavy hair but larger curling irons can also give you pretty much the same effect. When you try to do this at home you just have to make sure that you use bigger rollers and take more hair to roll around them.

In this way you will end up getting gentle body waves for your hair. For getting body waves for long hair it would required some extra effort as long hair needs for time and care while trying to create body waves.

But remember that once you make body waves your hair might appear to be shorter because the curls will take up length. Body waves for short hair would be a little more difficult to do as it would be tougher to fix into the rollers and eventually make your hair look much shorter than it already is. But all the same a body wave on short hair will make your otherwise normal hairstyle a chic head turner. For people who have pin straight or limp hair, body waves in hair will be a way for increasing the volume and adding style to their hair whether you have long or short hair, it works on both. A chemically done body wave lasts for around three months, if you try it at home by pleating your hair or using your curlers on damp hair and leaving it overnight it would last till the next time your thoroughly wash your hair. It is best to do a check of the body waves before and after as you will come to know what effect it would have on your hair. For damaged hair you could try the body wave hair weave or similar body wave extensions both of which can help you to get the desired effect you need. Many different body wave hairstyles could be tried to flatter your facial features while adding some bounce to your hair so make sure you spend time choose the correct body wave hairstyle.
