Treatment with hot oil for hair

A person’s hair, although not necessarily providing any significant medical advantage, plays a significant role in the overall appearance of an individual. Given the fact that today’s world is increasingly obsessed by how a person looks, it only increases the concern to take care of your hair. Besides this our hair is also exposed to a number of detrimental factors.

These factors include environmental conditions, chemicals that may be present in a number of hair care products as well as hereditary hair conditions much like male pattern baldness. However, probably the most damage is caused by the constant exposure of the hair to the excessive heat emitted from hair care appliances such as curling irons and blow-dryers. The heat generated by these instruments cause enough damage to kill some of the hair cells – thereby damaging the hair considerably.

Using the hot oil treatments for hair is one of the best and most effective methods of repairing the damage that your hair may have sustained as a result of exposure to many of these factors. Most of the hot oil treatments take advantage of the healing properties of coconut oil in order to generate cell repair and development. Moreover, hot oil treatments are also known to be very effective methods of dealing with scalp conditions such as dandruff. One simple method of using a hot oil treatment for hair at home would be to simply heat up some amount of coconut oil and thoroughly massage it into every part of the scalp as well as every strand of hair. Once done, wrap a warm towel over your head in order to generate the healing properties of the oil. Wait until the towel cools down to room temperature before removing it and washing your hair with water of normal temperature. Despite being a very effective method of treating your hair, it is also a very temporary method and will require to be performed on a frequent basis to have any significant long term effect on your hair. However, during the short term basis, one can easily tell that your hair seems much healthier and fuller. If very serious or significant damage has occurred to the hair, then an extensive hot oil therapy accompanied by micro silicone conditioners may be required. This contains self warming conditioners that, when massaged into the scalp with a heating cap put on is absorbed into the core of the hair, also known as the cortex.
