Treatment of psoriasis for health

Psoriasis is basically a chronic skin disease that is observed in the form of thick, silvery, red, scaled patches on the surface of the skin. This is an inflammatory skin condition that is found in both men and women and is usually observed in people who are between 15-30 years of age. Some of the common causes of psoriasis are seasonal changes, injury to the skin and various skin infections, heredity factors, and abnormalities in the metabolism of proteins and amino acids, among others.

In order to know what is best for psoriasis treatment one may consult a professional dermatologist who may prescribe some suitable medications or else there are also plenty of home remedies and natural treatments for psoriasis. One of the home remedies for psoriasis is to add two drops of calendula oil and a drop of oregano oil in a cup of olive oil. This mixture of oils should then be rubbed onto the affected area and allowed to remain till it gets absorbed by the skin naturally.

Similarly another natural treatment for psoriasis involves simmering 25 grams each of chamomile flowers and dried burdock seeds in about 600 ml of water for 15 minutes. This mixture should then be strained using a clean cloth and it can also be sweetened by adding some honey to it before storing in a refrigerator for future use. Those suffering from psoriasis should have around 3 tablespoons of this liquid 3-4 times a day on a regular basis for an effective treatment against psoriasis. It has also been known that mud packs are highly effective in providing relief from psoriasis so one should take some Fullers’ earth and add sufficient quantity of water, so as to make a thick paste. This paste should then be directly applied on the affected area and washed off only when completely dry. This mud pack is beneficial and effective against psoriasis as it helps remove toxins from the skin. Another natural remedy for psoriasis is to mix together a cup of freshly prepared juice of a bitter gourd along with a teaspoon of lime juice and this mixture should be consumed for 4 to 5 days on an empty stomach. One may also prepare an external treatment for psoriasis by boiling 4 heads of marigold in 4cups of water for around 2 minutes. Once this mixture has been cooled it should be massaged into the scalp and then the hair should be washed with a mild shampoo.
