Treatment for rosacea in naturally
Rosacea is a long term skin inflammatory disease which causes facial redness. It is most common in fair skinned people especially women. It causes symptoms like red, small lines under the skin, frequent facial redness, thick skin mainly on forehead, swollen nose, cheeks and chin and small red pus filled bumps which can be mistaken as acne.
Rosacea is not dangerous but if appropriate rosacea treatment is not done then it can get sever, affect your appearance and cause low self esteem. The main cause for getting rosacea is still under dark, but there are certain things which can trigger the rosacea symptoms they are emotional stress, alcohol, hot foods and beverages, spicy food, sunlight, strenuous exercise, humidity, heat, corticosteroids and some drugs which dilate the blood vessels. Rosacea home remedies when followed with rosacea treatment can take an active role in reducing the symptoms.
Try the following rosacea natural cures to deal with its symptoms.
Cold compress – When medications don’t work and you get a sudden red face then try applying a cold compress on your face. Soak a clean cloth in ice water and place it on the flushed red areas of your face for relief. The temperature change will help to constrict the dilated blood vessels and temporarily halt the inflammation process. However don’t apply ice directly on your face considering more is good; as it can cause skin damage.
Facial products – Certain facial products which contain alcohol or other skin irritants should be avoided. Preferably use a green-tinted or yellow under-foundation cover if you are prone to flare-ups as the green or yellow color will combine with the red color on your face and completely neutralize it. If you wish to use any cream to prevent wrinkles then read the product carefully and avoid creams that contain alpha hydroxyl acids; the acid percent should be less than 2.5 percent. Discontinue any product which gives the redness or swollen veins on your face. Select cosmetics designed for sensitive skin as they have fewer chemical irritants then the regular ones.
Chamomile – Use moisturizers, cleansers and soaps containing chamomile, as this herb related to ragweed family helps to soothe rosacea prone skin (avoid this if you are allergic to ragweed).
Protection – To protect your face from sun wear a sunscreen lotion with sun protecting factor of 15 or higher, 20 minutes before you step out in the sun. Preferably use a sunscreen which has titanium dioxide as a main ingredient. To protect your skin in winter carry a scarf or ski mask. Don’t touch or rub your skin too much as it can irritate the delicate skin on the face.
Alcohol – Although alcohol doesn’t cause rosacea, consuming it can cause flushing of the skin and may worsen the symptoms. So it is wise to avoid alcohol to avoid any triggers or flare-ups of rosacea.
