The incredible pain in your joints- arthritis
Arthritis is one of the most common medical ailments all over the world and is characterized by the inflammation of the joints in the human body. The condition is categorized by the medical community into various sub groups – of which more than 100 odd exist. The primary cause of the condition depends largely on the type of arthritis the individual is affected by.
Some of the more common cause includes hereditary factors, metabolic abnormalities, bacterial infections as well as rheumatoid arthritis. The condition is considered to be a rheumatic disease because of the fact that it is a combination of a number of various illnesses, complications and prognosis. Osteoarthritis is considered to be the most common form of arthritis and is generally the result of old age and the degeneration of cartilage present in the joints.
The most prominent symptoms of osteoarthritis is of course the intense knee pain and limitation of joint functions that will substantially affect an individuals ability and ease of movement. The other symptoms of osteoarthritis that will develop along with the knee pain include swelling around the affected area, redness, warmth and tenderness of the affected joint.
However, because of the fact that the condition is of the rheumatoid variety – the symptoms of osteoarthritis are not necessarily related to the knees and joints, but can also spread to other parts of the body. The development of a fever, gland swelling, and abnormalities of the lungs, heart or kidneys are all rather common occurrences during this time. The symptoms of osteoarthritis can be especially painful at times as some patients are known to complain of a grating feel whenever they attempt to move their affected joint. In this instance – the tissue that provides the elasticity between the two bones that meet at this joint is likely to have degenerated considerably or completely. One would then require some substantial arthritis pain management medication pills which would usually be handed out by the doctor.
Arthritis is known to affect individuals anywhere and is not limited to culture, race, region and sex. Recent studies have shown that as many as 450 million all over the world are likely to be affected by the condition at each time. More than half of those affected are likely to be over the age of 65. It is important to understand and identify the signs and symptoms of arthritis as it will help you diagnose the condition much earlier – resulting in more effective treatment options. The medical tests used in the diagnosis of arthritis include certain blood / urine or joint fluid tests in addition to x-rays being captured to analyze the structural problems that could have caused the condition.
Because the condition is so common, there are a number of joint pain remedies that have been developed all over the world to help with the condition. For instance, rubbing the affected joint with a little warm vinegar just before sleeping at night is supposed to be extremely helpful while another option is to massage the area with some warm olive oil. You could also try creating a mixture of grinding for pieces of garlic along with two grams of Sprague and dip the mixture in about 30 grams of mustard oil. Heat it on a low flame for a couple of minutes before massaging the painful joints with this oil.
