Naturally age spots treating
Age spots, also known as liver spots, generally strike after the age of 50 years. Although this is not a rule and sometimes, people can actually have this experience even before that, but this is relatively rare. Age spots are nothing really much except melanin deposits that sit on the base of the skin beyond a point.
Most of the time, they show up on people who have a low level of melanin in their skin to begin with. These spots are more evident on people with a lighter skin color than those having a dark skin tone. Melanin is the chemical that adds color to the skin, therefore darker people already have a high amount of melanin in their bodies.
There are very few remedial measures that can be of actual help in dealing with liver spots. The use bleaching agents may lighten them, but there is no way of guaranteeing that this will help to take away the spots. However, one of the methods that do work for this is to exfoliate regularly. This will help to lighten age spots considerably and if done regularly, it may also help you get rid of them for a long time. As with all other skin maintenance routines, this routine would also have to be followed rigorously in order for it to be effective in the long term.
Since age spots are also sometimes known as liver spots, people often assume that they are related to the liver in some way. This is actually not true at all. It is far more likely that age spots would be directly related to the amount of sun exposure that a person has. As skin ages, its ability to fight natural elements such as the rays of the sun and their harmful effects reduces to a large degree. One of the best ways to control and keep age spots at bay is to protect the skin from exposure to the sun’s direct rays as much as possible. Use a sun tan lotion regularly in order to successfully achieve this. Try for a lotion that has an SPF, or a sun protection factor of at least 30. This will ensure a basic amount of protection from the most negative effects of the sun’s rays. Keep in mind that application once is never enough, particularly if you are going to be out a lot. Keep reapplying and if possible, try and keep the skin covered as much as possible.
