Hormonal imbalance cure remedy

Hormonal imbalances could be caused by several factors. Thyroid problems, both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, can result in hormonal imbalances. In hypothyroidism, there is a lowered production of the hormone thyroxine and symptoms such as joint pain, infertility, obesity and heart problems may occur.

In hyperthyroidism, there is an excessive production of thyroxine and symptoms such as fatigue, appetite loss, nervousness, elevated heart rate and insomnia may occur. Hormonal fluctuations also occur during menopause when the levels of estrogen and progesterone change. Irregular periods, hot flashes, hair loss, weight gain around the abdomen and mood swings are likely to occur.

Pregnancy leads to a number of hormonal changes in the body. These changes continue during the post-partum months and may take up to one year to stabilize. Symptoms such as headaches, mood swings, nausea, vomiting, swelling of the breasts and constipation are likely to occur.

Hormonal imbalances may also occur due to intake of certain medications, stress and poor diet. Medications such as birth control pills, pain relievers and some steroids when taken for long periods of time could alter the levels of hormones in the body. Stress is also known to affect the hormonal levels. Another cause of hormonal imbalances is a diet that lacks in some vitamins and minerals. Too much fat intake could also cause the hormonal levels to fluctuate. Anabolic steroids are prescribed for patients that have undergone serious illness or injury. However, some even use them for improved athletic performance and body building. In such cases, imbalances of the hormones are most likely to occur. Certain symptoms may also be experienced such as acne, liver problems, mood swings, aggressive behavior and male pattern baldness.

The best remedy for hormonal imbalances is a dietary and lifestyle change. The diet must consist of plenty of fruits and vegetables. Avoid eating white bread and switch to whole grains, wild rice and sprouted breads instead. Two servings of good quality protein sources such as lean beef, fish and poultry is a must every day. Restrict the consumption of sugar, coffee and alcohol. These changes will ensure that the body receives the necessary vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and fiber. Regular exercise is also important to prevent hormonal imbalances. Stretching exercises like yoga help to promote relaxation. There are also natural supplements available for hormonal imbalances. These are obtained from plant sources and are available in the form of creams or tinctures. However, one should only take supplements after a consultation with the doctor.
