Headache remedies for homemade




The most common condition that is seen in almost everybody is a headache. Headaches could also occur in infants and teenagers. A headache is a condition which appears due to a variety of reasons.

Stress is considered to be the most common cause of headache. Extra workload may cause a severe headache which can get unbearable. Other causes of headache include hunger, overexposure to heat, noise and various other factors.

It is extremely important to stop the excruciating pain as it may cause further problems.

 

Natural headache remedies are very effective and safe. Since headache does not pose a serious threat, you can easily treat it at home. An effective method of relieving a headache is to apply an icepack on the affected areas. The affected areas usually include neck, upper back, temples of the head and forehead. Apply the icepack for at least 5 to 10 minutes. The icepack will reduce the temperature of the head and prevent a severe pain. This is one of the best severe headache remedies. Another effective method to relieve headache is to apply hair oil. Apply three to four drops of hair oil on the head and massage it for 5 to 10 minutes. The hair oil acts as a coolant and is an effective tension headache home remedy. Consumption of honey mixed in a glassful of lime juice is also one of the most effective homemade headache remedies. Peppermint is an effective headache herbal remedy and should be consumed directly. These are some of the effective headache home remedies.

 

Apart from the headache remedies, it is very important to implement these preventive measures in order to stop the increasing pain. Since stress is considered to be one of the main factors of headache, it is advisable to take time off work and relax for a couple of minutes. Sometimes, fresh air is more than enough for curbing a headache. A five minute walk in the open will make a great difference. Also, lower the intensity of the lights or just switch them off. Sometimes, a bright light is also trigger a headache. In case you get headaches because of too much noise, close all the doors and windows of the room or buy yourself a good pair of ear plugs or ear phones. These products will cancel out the noise and provide you peace of mind. Since hunger is considered to be one of the causes of headaches, eat or drink healthy items. An apple is sufficient enough to curb your hunger and headache. Drink plenty of fluids such as fruit juices that will eliminate the headache and keep you healthy. Use of television and computer should be strictly prohibited as it increases the pain.

 

An hour of sleep is also one of the most effective quick headache remedies.
