Fitness athlete of Musings

Musings of a fitness athlete female fitness

If you know of, or are a fitness or figure athlete, you will understand.

Its 7pm, and as I get ready for bed I wrote in my journal what my life leading up to my figure competition has come to

1. Splenda… those little packages are everywhere, from my wallet to my purse and stuffed in my jean pockets, just in case I stop at a coffee-joint with no Splenda

2. Speaking of jeans and Splenda, its not a rare occasion that I put my hands in my competition size jeans to find a soggy, unused packet of Splenda that made it through the wash

3. My recycling bin has now been taken over by 1 Gallon jugs from all the water I have to drink

4. Well empty jugs of water and toilette paper rolls from how much I have to pee

5. I dread work meetings, in season because of the times I have to sneak out or deal with gut-rut, from the protein shake-gas trying to hide

6. I get family packs of chicken and beef and buy enough asparagus to feel two families for two weeks… and that is for me, a single female, living in a basement apartment, alone.

7. IF (and that is a big IF) I have guests over they get water, maybe I will make a jug of water and Crystal lite, but probably not, that shit is expensive these days!

8. My friends know to eat before they come. My food is measured and weighed and I don’tt share. And I don’t allow any fast food that has aromas past my front door

9. Peanut butter is not allowed in my house.

10. I carry a suitcase for a lunch pail. Actually it is a lunch pail, with 6 compartments, three shelves, four sections with lids and I still don’t have a place for my water bottle

11. Be forewarned, I tend to stare at my self. If there is a mirror, you will see me checking for a vein, a new muscle, a striation…anything legit. I swear I’m not vain

12. I divide my closet in to two parts. In season and out of season.

Only five more weeks until I can put that bikini on and strut my stuff on stage remain focused!
