Menstrual cramps relief

Menstrual cramps are medically referred to as dysmenorrhea. These pains tend to occur in a woman’s pelvic and abdominal areas during her menstrual period. The pain can really intensify during the course of a woman’s menstrual periods.

The pain levels would vary for different women. Some suffer mild cramps but for others the pain could get quite severe. Some of the main symptoms that accompany this problem include vomiting and nausea and also sweating, loose stools and dizziness.

Some get a throbbing pain that is around the abdominal area and even in the lower back. Going about everyday routines could also become very difficult. However, there are various menstrual cramp remedies that one can do to help in reducing this pain. Some of the menstrual cramps relief can be got by using over the counter drugs or by using some menstrual cramps home remedies which can be equally effective with almost no side effects.

Some of the menstrual cramps natural remedies include the use of heating pads. Take a heating pad and place it on one’s lower back or lower abdomen region. This heat will help in reducing the pain from the menstrual cramps and giving the woman some relief. If there is no readymade heating pad then one can even try making one at home. This can be done by filling a bag or even a sock with some uncooked rice or some flaxseeds. These seeds or rice would need to be heated up in the microwave or on a pan. Some other home remedies for menstrual cramps include the use of chamomile. The use of chamomile can help in the reduction of menstrual cramp pain and also from the accompanying discomfort. One can make a simple mixture by taking about 2 tablespoons of some chamomile flowers and adding to a cup of water. This should be boiling water and the chamomile flowers should be allowed to steep in it for a few minutes. One can even add some honey to this mixture for added relief. Else one can use readymade tea bags of chamomile. A woman should get plenty of vitamins and nutrients to help in the reduction of menstrual pains. Some of the main vitamins that a woman should eat include calcium, vitamin B, zinc and magnesium.

These have been found to be beneficial in reducing the accompanying bloating and reduce the pain. Calcium helps to maintain and build the muscles and thus prevent pain from occurring.
