Chronic Fatigue may be caused as a side-effect of other diseases like viral flu. However, the exact cause(s) of the ailment is still unknown and there is no medical test to detect Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

The major symptoms of Chronic Fatigue are pain in the joints and muscles, reduced analytical acumen, severe physical and mental exhaustion, hypersensitivity, digestive disorders, depression, feeble immune system, respiratory and cardiac problems, and orthostatic intolerance (a disorder of the nervous system).

There is no specific treatment to completely cure Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Alternatively, there are numerous home remedies to relieve the symptoms of chronic fatigue and cure the ailment gradually.

Some of the home remedies to relieve Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are listed below:

First of all, you need to strengthen your immune system to fight microbial infections like flu, which result in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. You must eat foods rich in Vitamin C which help boost the immune system. Vitamin C rich foods include citrus fruits like orange, grapefruit and lemon, mango, guava, berries, and broccoli.

The foods rich in anti-oxidants include berries, kale, clove, barley, millet, pecans, beans, apricots, dates, prunes, pepper, cabbage, and grapes. Green tea is also very high in anti-oxidants.

You must avoid foods that are harmful for the immune system like packaged or canned foods and junk foods.

Avoid consuming alcohol. Smoking is also a strict no-no.

Another remedy to relieve Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is to make small changes in your lifestyle. Regular physical exercises every morning would be very beneficial. This will increase your intake of oxygen by a significant amount, which will help regulate all the physiological systems of the body, thereby relieving the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

One of the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue is mental exhaustion. In order to relieve this, you should do exercises for your brain and mind. You can practice yoga which will impart you physical as well as mental health. It will help relieve depression as well.
