Worlds Strongest Man?

I am not sure if this would be a competition for here or not. However, does anyone compete in these or watch them? I know I watch them on television and am amazed at how strong the guys are when they compete here.

I watch it sometimes. Mariusz Pudzianowski can lift a truck with his tongue Some of the things they do are pretty silly but it still takes a lot of strenght to do it. I couldn't lift one of those rocks if my life depended on it. I did try running with two buckets full of rocks around the backyard and I was completely smashed afterward.

I have watched these from time to time. I know the people who are lifting is rather large and muscular. In fact it amazes me how well these guys are able to lift. What blows my mind is how well they are able to walk!

I wanna know who's in charge of coming up with the events at these strongman competitions. I bet that would be a fun gig.

I know, we could have them lift a giant slab of concrete, that's in the shape of Africa, and try to skip it across a small lake.

I used to watch the World's Strongest Man when I was growing up in the 90's, it was on public television and really big back then. The status of the competition seems to have diminished in the past 10 years, among the wider public at least. Probably because it isn't broadcast on terrestrial TV any longer.

I agree with the last comment the competition has went down in popularity. I know that I was trying to find some the other day and ESPN did not even have it on.

I've never believed these completions and do take them as stage-managed with alot of camera tricks. Where have you seen the live performance? They are mostly based on movies!

What the hell are you talking about. World Strongest Man competitions aren't "staged" nor does it only happen in movies. They are legit competitions and many athletes train year round for it.
