Best Running Back?

Best Running Back?

Who do you think is the best running back in the league? I know that I am looking forward to seeing some of the younger players, but not sure which one is the best, but the competition is so fierce at this position!

I do not know if he is the best, but he is one of my favorites and that is Brian Leonard from the Bengals. I really like his work ethic and the fact he can do quite a bit of work.

He is a good back, but was he not a backup to Cedric Benson, do you think he could carry the entire teams running load on his own though?

Adrian Peterson is the still the best one out there as far as I'm concerned. I have no idea why the Titans would give Chris Johnson that much money. Part of his yardage was out of the fear of Vince Young.

Adrian Peterson is a good back, but he is starting to show his age and is slowing down if you ask me. So I hope you are right about him, but I think his years as a back are catching up with him.

It's not that he's slowing down, it's that they are able to stack nine in a box on a regular basis against him. He's a great back, but he's also human. There is but so much he can do on his own as a running back.

It's close right now between Arian Foster and Ray Rice. Both are such a threat in both the running and receiving game. Adrian Peterson takes a step back this year due to his injury, as does Jamaal Charles. The wildcard might be if Chris Johnson can return to form as he is great catching passes out of the backfield as well.

I'm surprised only one other person has mentioned Arian Foster. He's the modern day Priest Holmes. He was often hobbled last year but he still tore it up.

With an ACL injury I don't think you can rate Peterson as the best anymore. He might not even start the first part of the season on the active roster. Typically it takes two seasons after the injury for close to full recovery, and for a running back that return to the level before the injury doesn't ever come for some players.

Ray Rice is my dude. I think him and Foster are 1-2 and can continue that trend for a long time...these guys are just monsters and every time they touch the ball the potential for a TD is there.
