How much water do you drink?

I have learned that the key to losing weight really can depend on how much water you drink. Since the body is made up of mostly water, water is needed to help flush out our system. Do you drink 8 glasses of water daily? If not, how do you properly keep yourself healthy and hydrated?

I like to drink a minimum of a gallon a day. What I used to do was just open up a new jug a day and when I finished that, I knew that I got at least one gallon.

At one job, I'd take in a liter or 1.5 liter bottle in before lunch and then after lunch, go to my car and get the second bottle.

I then went on to buy a one liter aluminum bottle and I just found myself drinking almost five to six of them per day.


I like to make keeping track of my water intake as simple as possible.

I drink about a gallon of water a day also. I don't really keep track but I know how many bottles(refillable) that I drink throughout the day so it typically adds up to a gallon.

I am not sure there is a strong link between drinking water and a healthy diet (or loosing weight).
Here how it goes for myself :
* Soups is an important parts of my diet. I love them and, it is true, they are filling without bringing much of
help to any form of weight gain
* I avoid sugar in drinks unless I really need the sugar. So it is mostly water. I drink a lot of it and found it
helps regulate my blood pressure (I have been in few cases with too low a blood pressure simply because
having lost too much water)
* With years of workout practice, I have a reach a point where I loose a LOT of water during class or workout.
Although I have never read anything scientific about it, I have heard the healthier you are the more you loose.
So it is quite obvious I have to replace all that water. I do not do that during workout as my stomach likes to
be empty but after ... for hours ..

I drink throughout the dinner, probably around 3 liters on average. Water is all I drink, I flavour it with lemon juice to alkalize the water and make it even healthier. The main problem with drinking lots of water is needing to use the toilet at night.

I drink 8-10 glasses per day. I try to do more, and when I wasn't so hectic, I usually could do more. I always feel cleaner, or lighter when I drink more water.

I just got to about 3 bottles a day and that is a stretch. I really need to step it up in that area. The only thing I really drink if coffee and water.

I drink two 8 oz glasses of water every morning just to replenish my body from the rest that I had. I will then go into breakfast and have a glass of fruit juice. I don't usually drink anymore water throughout the day.

3 litres a day at least, 4 litres/day with two days before a very long run. It depends though, I have some day when I crave bad food, and whenever that happens... I just drink more water 8-)
