Exercise in AM or PM

Is it better to exercise in the morning before you eat or later on in the day?

I like to train in a fasted state first thing in the morning. Do you business then get your big meal inside you. then go about your day.

It's best to do cardio before you eat, so the best and easiest time to accomplish that would be in the morning.

It is never a good idea to lift on an empty stomach in my opinion, so you want to eat something prior to your workout. A lot of people like an 1-2 hour window.

You guy's are better men than I am. I workout at night and do my 20 minutes of cardio after weights. I do have 2 little ones to get to school half the times. Maybe when they are a little older.

I do my cardio in the morning before work and lift weights on weekends only.

It depends on the form of exercise you are doing. Cardio in the morning on an empty stomach can be beneficial because you will be training in a fasted state, thus your body fat stores will be used for fuel. The best time for weight training is late in the afternoon, not too early and not too late.

It depends on you, your goals, and your time. A lot of people like working out in the early AM, as it wakes them up and gets their day started. Other people, like me, like getting the stress of the day out during the night and that's why I lift late at night.

I've always heard that it's good practice to workout in the morning to get your metabolism ramped up and burning calories all day...but I can't help but think that a later in the evening workout would be good to keep the machine going long after you have retired to the couch. Any ideas on which one is best? Or does it make sense to break up your workout routine and do both?

I've turned into a morning person because I work out in the morning. It helps me get going for sure. I tried to work out at night, but had too much energy to get to sleep later on.

In the AM to wake up and start off your day because if you do it in the PM then you will be too tired to do it because of other obligations..I don't know its my opinion.
