Who uses protein bars?

I do. Wondering what brands you use. I use quest bars. They fit the paleo profile and do not have as much crap in them. What do you guys use?

I don't eat them often because I don't really have much use for them between my food and my shakes. I also don't really like the flavor of most of them. :(

I haven't really eaten very many. I know the ones I did have were dry and didn't taste good. I am always open to a good one (taste-wise). I did have the Marathon one by snickers. That is probably because the ingredients are like the snickers bar

In the end they aren't the healthiest thing you could snack on to get your protein for the day. There are other alternatives such as simply eating nuts or even protein powder

I don't see a point in buying protein bars. Protein bars are expensive and not good for you. Read the ingredients list on a protein bar, they are full of all kinds of nasty ingredients and sugar. Eating whole food is a much better option, eat a few boiled eggs instead.

I do not buy them that often. I know that I am terrible when it comes to this, but I have to say I find this type of item as a cheating way. I prefer just using the natural stuff my body has and not adding in any additional items.

I think you would do much better with a protein shake. If you have the time and opportunity, put some fruit in the shake and actually use a blender to mix it. If not, just add some milk if you want it to be more filling.

There are too many other ingredients in those bars in contrast to the paltry number of proteins that you'd get for it to be beneficial.

Right so basically you guys stay away from them. In an emergency though, a meeting hits or something out of the norm they are nice to have in a pinch.

Go down to Trader Joe's and buy a bag of their individually wrapped packs of almonds. Throw them in your desk drawer.

I have never eaten a protein bar in my life. I don't really see the point in protein bars. I consume plenty of protein through eating whole food and I supplement with unflavoured whey protein when necessary. Protein bars usually contain sugar, bad fats and artificial ingredients.
