Good Recipe For Spinach

Does anyone have a good recipe for spinach? I would like to have the transformation that Popeye had, but I know this does not happen overnight. So does anyone have any good recipes for spinach I can use to start on this healthier eating path?

I don't have a specific recipe, but I would suggest that you Google or ask for a recipe for a spinach quiche. I used to make one years ago and it was delicious. Eggs, spinach, onions, mushrooms and cheese, it was a protein delight and you could eat at any time of the day.

If I can find it, I'll post it up, but that's one dish that you can look out for.

My daughters love the following spinach recipe :
* vapor steam spinach
* hard boil eggs
* prepare a béchamel sauce (flour, milk, butter based)
==> spinach + eggs + béchamel .. yummy !! ..
By the way, they usually end up smashing everything ... :)

I would have to recommend looking for the quiche recipe. I know this is the best way to get people to like spinach! Then you can have some good eats for a long time to come!

Exactly, Wayne. Unless you just have an issue with eating the same meal too close together within a time frame, the quiche can be both incredibly healthy and save you a lot of time, depending on how large you make the quiche.

Do you have any favorite celebrity chef you like to use for the recipes? I have never considered this before, but like to use the chefs that are famous for this.

Actually, I didn't get the recipe from a TV chef, I think I got it from the internet. There isn't too much that is difficult about making a quiche, so you should be able to find a great recipe in a cookbook that you may have in your home right now.

What you want to do is just add as many vegetables as you can to it as it will add nutrients to the dish, that's why I suggested the onions and mushrooms. I'll look around and if I find one, I'll post it up. I'm in the mood to make one now.

I needed a new recipe for spinach. Usually I just eat it with pepper, and a boiled egg. I just picked up a recipe for lemon pepper chicken, and this spinach would probably be a nice side dish.

What do you do with the boiled egg? Do you chop it up and mix with the spinach? Are we talking raw baby spinach? How many eggs? How much spinach? I'm not sure of what you are doing with your recipe?

I add 2 cups of raw spinach leaves into my protein shakes. Changes the color but doesn't affect the shake. Maybe you can try it!
