Good Workout For Arm Flab

Postby Isabellas2007 » Mon May 28, 2012 3:49 pm

I have some extra arm flab that is hanging around on me. Does anyone know of a good workout to get rid of this? I would like to try something simple, but I am not sure what I should be doing.

Just doing any exercises could help, as long as you use more calories then you take you will slowly lose your fat.

Some exercise you could do are crunches, push ups, pull ups or just jog- these are just some basic ones.

I think you also need to work on your diet as well. Cut you fat calories and increase your veggies and protein. You can do pushups, dips, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks to work this area out.

You can not target fat loss to any one area. I good cardio/ nutrition program will help with your overall fat reduction. Strength training (if you're a woman, the goal is reps over weight) will tone your muscles in the area and give a better appearance. Muscles also require more energy (calories) to work so you will burn even more calories the more muscle you do develop.

I would recommend working on your triceps. This is the common area for this flab. By toning the muscle here you may end up getting to remove the flab and get more muscle mass.

Triceps are the muscle that is the root of the flab. I dread mine. I know that now that I am eating better it will soon be history.

Usually if you have arm flab you need to work your triceps either via tricep extentions or even push ups can help. Triceps is 2/3rds of your arm so its very important that your building it properly :)

I am always for the simplest and least painful solution. The one that can stick.
If you are only looking towards your arms, I would recommend simple pushups.
Include these in your morning routine before your shower for example.
Do not try hard, start with as few as you wish. If one is too much, try on your knees.
But do these every morning. Just doing it daily or so and you will see results within weeks.
Most of time, people stop or fail because trying too much too fast.
Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes !
ps : I recommend this to a friend and she is seeing results after only a couple of weeks

You can't target arm fat, it is impossible. Having arm flab suggests you are overweight. You will need to lose weight to lose the arm flab. I would recommend exercising regularly and eliminating carbohydrates from your diet. A zero-carb diet is excellent for fat loss.

You definitely have to do weights! That is the only way you will build muscle which will help with the flabby arms. I do BodyPump at the gym. I just started but I've seen a little improvement.
