Tennis (anyone?)

Postby spiderman » Sun May 27, 2012 3:51 pm

Anyone here who keep track of the Tennis results. I am not a hardcore fan but I love to watch when Nadal and Djokovic plays. Recently, both guys fought for the Italian Open and Nadal won.

Who do you root for?

Roger Federer is my only tennis player that I'll ever root for... He kicked some asses back in 2006-7-8 ;)...

I watch the latter phases of the grand slams. The Nadal and Djorkovic rivalry is great. Djorkovic has managed to take his game up to another level, the level of a champion, somehow. I can't believe he has surpassed Nadal, I never thought that would happen 4 years ago. There will be some epic battles between them in the future, they are both still young.

I am not a big fan of the matches, but I do follow it from time to time. It is a sport after all. However, I do watch the big match finals at times, but only if their is nothing else on.

The French Open is something worth watching, they're on the top 16 right now. The top 4 are looking great and looks to face each other on the semi. Nadal, Djokovic, Federer and Murray are dominant so far.

Tennis, this sport is still around? I do not follow tennis that much and cannot really get into it at all. The only time I think more about the sport is when the Western Southern is in town and that is because they control the air waves here for local news then.

It's actually getting more exciting as new Tennis players emerge. Tony Haas upset Roger Federer on Gerry Weber Open in Halle, no one expected that as Federer is very good on grass. For me it's an exciting sport because there's a lot of upset.

I will watch tennis occasionally but not all the time. I do like watching maria sharapova play. She is probably my favorite player.

Wimbledon starts today. The weather here in London has been awful, lots of rain, summer hasn't started yet. Thankfully there's a roof on center court, it will be needed!

My predictions for singles champions are Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal.

I'm somewhat of a hopeless Roddick fan. I wanna see the guy actually win for once, but he's getting to the point to where he needs to hang it up. His small window of opportunity has passed already. I don't see him beating any of the top guys now. It's over.
