What Team Would You Eliminate

What Team Would You Eliminate

Okay, this may sound odd, but if the league were to contract and lose one team in each which team would you get rid of? I know for me it would be the Mariners and the Nationals. They seem to be okay teams, but not really that stellar or headline busting teams. Plus I do not like either one!

I'm sorry that you have such a distaste for the Nationals, but you are too late on your quest to have them eliminated. Between Bryce and Stephen, the Nationals are on the way up and may cause a lot of damage this season.

Who is your second choice for National League elimination?

I'm sensing that you might be a Phillies fan, so I'll go with them as Philadelphia as a city, really doesn't deserve any of the sports teams that they have.

If I had to eliminate a couple of teams I would have to say the Twins and the Marlins. They are two teams who have not really performed that well in my opinion and do not really pull in much of a draw. In fact since that one movie with the kid and his grandpa owned the Twins I forgot they even had a team.

I am actually a Cubs fan. I know my second choice would be the Phillies. They are a team which tends to be to cocky for my liking. The Twins is an interesting choice Waynefire. I never really thought about them and this is something I never really thought about.

Okay, I don't mind Cubs fans.

I don't want to eliminate any of them. What I would like to do is have what they do in Soccer. I'm not completely sure I'll explain this correctly as I don't watch soccer, but I think it's called "regulation?" Anyway, it goes along the lines of, if you don't make the playoffs or have the worst record, you go down to the lower league and you have to earn your way back into the main league.

Now, that is something that I would want to see in the MLB and the NBA. That would be great and ensure every team and every player is doing all that they can to win.

By regulation do you mean like the English League where if you do not do well enough for a certain time period you are like demoted to a minor league. Then one of those teams is brought up? That would be interesting to see and provide more incentive for teams to play right and win.

I knew that I was wrong. I guess I could've Googled it last night. It's relegation.

Force the MLB and NBA to do that and I'll tune back into the NBA.

It would be interesting but that would be hard to workout. There are hundreds of soccer teams in Europe but only a few NBA and MLB teams.
Back onto the topic of the thread, I like most of the teams but since I am a Sox fan it would have to be the Cubs :D.

Not really. Just as there are what, six playoff teams for each League, throw down a minimum of three teams per League. You already have a minor league that they would have to play in for both leagues.

The Cubs, aww come on just because the Soxs have a great cross town rival is no reason to eliminate them! That makes the teams actually have some great competition with each other then! Kind of like the OSU Michigan rivalry.
