Build it Like Beckham...

I just ran across this article that talks about David Beckham's workout. It looks like he does some interval training. I am not a soccer fan, but he does have a fabulous body.

Here's the info if you're interested: http://www.menshealth.com/celebrity-fit ... am-workout

His training is orientated around his profession, he plays soccer and needs to be very fit to run around the pitch for 90 minutes. HIT is good because it mimics his running on the football pitch, bursts of sprinting and lower intensity running.

I actually like this kind of a workout because I don't want to bulk up, I just want enough muscles to form my body and shred the fats. I also love to run a lot and would probably join a marathon one day.

The training he is undertaking is something which is rather intensive, but he has to get this type of training because football is a hard sport to compete in.

I agree. As much running those soccer players are doing. They must be going through some intense cardio workouts several times a week. I couldn't imagine an out of shape soccer player.

I would love to do his cardio workout! I mean I had friends play soccer and they were the most in shape people I have ever seen.

It is good if your primary focus is to lose fat and you are not concerned about building muscle. You will burn fat on this type of workout and you will look ripped, assuming your nutrition is on point. Soccer players are lean because they run around a lot.
