I also love Nick but the guy has issues. He can't seem to stop that Marijuana use. I like Nate more than him because at least the guy is clean and seems to be heading in the right direction and doing the right decision.

GSP is definitely the best welterweight of all time. He may not be a finisher, but I don't think there is anyone that could take the title from him at this point. Matt Hughes was great during his prime but even then I don't think he quite stacked up to GSP. As for BJ Penn, he's one of the greatest lightweights, but I don't feel he's even a top 10 for the welterweight division.

BJ Penn was once the best in the welterweight when he was young but the guy has some issues with his training dedication that's why you can see him getting gassed out so quickly.

I hear what you are saying, but I don't think he should be penalized for smoking Marijuana. It doesn't help him like PEDs or steroids. The guys has ADHD and uses it as a form of medication. Sure his outside life may be problematic at times, but the guy is a force inside the cage. One of the best pure fighters in mixed martial arts that we have seen.

Actually, I didn't know he smoke weed as medication for ADHD. I just read somewhere about the suspension and the cause. If that's the case then maybe they should investigate more.

GSP would be first - he has proven to be the best in his division for a loooong time now. However, I'm not too sure who I would put at second - BJ or Hughes. I love BJ for his natural talent at fighting, but the ability of Matt Hughes, combined with his heart is just incredible.

It doesn't really matter who you put on top of each other because they're all future Hall of Famers and legends. I put BJ on top of Hughes simply because he defeated Matt twice.

Obviously GSP is the greatest welterweight of all time and number 2 pound for pound behind Anderson Silva. We cannot look past the people who have defeated GSP. Matt Hughes, the hall of famer and Matt Serra. I would definitely put Hughes in the Top 5. Hughes and Serra in the prime would defeat the current top welterweights in my honest opinion.
